"As most of the guild knows, I was diagnosed with breast cancer 13 months ago. My lump was tiny, smaller than the eraser on the top of a pencil, but it had already spread to my lymph nodes and was classed as stage 3. When I first found the lump I thought it was just a bug bite but after a week it didn't go down and went to see my doctor.
No lump is to small to worry about. A mammogram now days DOES NOT hurt. There is no excuse for not getting one. If you have no insurance please let me know, and together we will find someone in your area that does it for free.
March of this year my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer also. Please, please, make sure that you or your loved on has a mammogram EVERY year!
